David Lock has been installed as the 41st Master of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
David became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1995 and was clothed in the Livery four years later. He ran the apprenticeship scheme for 5 years and joined the Court in 2009. He has served on the Education, Membership and Finance and General Purposes Committees and was nominated by the Company for appointment as a Governor of Rokeby School, where he chairs its community committee. He has chaired the Hull and District branch of ICSA.
Outside Livery life David is an educator who headed the administrations of two British Universities before being asked to establish the British University in Dubai. He then became International Director of the UK’s Leadership Foundation and is now Secretary General of the Magna Charta Observatory, the global guardian of fundamental values for higher education, which is based in Bologna. He also works on higher education development projects in other parts of the world.
David hopes that all Apprentices, Mentees, Freemen and Apprentices will engage in the life of the Company and take forward the Company’s strategy.
